Édua Amarilla Zádory, (her Hungarian name means glistening moonrise) was born in 1974 in Kecskemét in the centre of Hungary. At only seven years of age, Édua was already displaying outstanding talent on the violin. After studies at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, Édua formed the Eszterházy Trio and subsequently performed with the trio all over the world. Since 2005, she has performed with the Hungaria Piano Trio and her professional music life is now centred in Vienna. In 2009 Édua Zádory with Anastasiia Dombrovska won first prize at the prestige Gaetano Zinetti international chamber music competition in Verona. Édua plays a violin which was crafted in 1801 by Joseph and Antonio Gagliano.
English born Irene won 1st prize in a Competition for Young Musicians after only a year of piano study. After the conclusion of High School, she entered the Superior School Het Twents Conservatorium where she obtained diplomas in Chamber Music, and as Accompanist and Soloist. Irene has played in a number of ensembles and orchestras and has performed in Holland, Germany, England and China. She has also made recordings and participated in several festivals and masterclasses in Germany, England and Holland. Irene Ainstein teaches at the Conservatório Regional in Faro and continues to perform in concerts with members of the Orchestra of Algarve, with Michael Thomas of the Brodsky Quartet and with several singers as their accompanist of choice.
Édua and Irene will begin with Sonata BWV 1015 by J S Bach, Sonatina op 137 no 2 by Schubert and Sonatina op 100 by Dvorak. As virtuoso soloist, Édua will perform the Paganini Caprice no 24 (the origin of his famous theme, which was later used by Liszt, Brahms and Rachmaninov, Lutoslawski, Ysaye and Szymanowski, Quiroga and even Benny Goodman), and Doderer´s violin concerto no 2 In Breath of Time DWV 62 b, arranged for violin solo. Born in 1969 in Bregenz, Austria, Johanna Doderer is the great niece of the famous Austrian novelist Heimito von Doderer. Johanna frequently collaborates with musicians such as Édua and her compositions range from chamber music to orchestral work and opera. Édua has performed her work at the Austrian Embassy in Washington DC, on her Gagliano violin.
