A talk by Roger Shrimpton

Roger Shrimpton is now retired and living happily in the Algarve with his wife Regina. After 10 years researching nutrition in Brazil and 20 years working as a nutritionist in the UN system he is still an Adjunct Professor at Tulane University and teaches part-time on their Masters in Public Health programme. Roger´s talk will be about how our current food system is making a major contribution to climate change, in addition to the damage it does both to nature and to human health. He will endeavour to explain how the majority of Seventeen Sustainable Development Goals recentl y adopted by the United Nations for achievement by 2030 will not be realised unless we change the way our food systems work.
