Photographs that Changed the World by Paulo Viegas
Born in Faro, 36 year-old Paulo Viegas is a self taught photographer who promotes himself through his photography, and both teaches photography and uses photography to help other people.
Paulo founded the photographic club f/18.1, and together with club members and through photographic exhibitions, he has given support to the Fundação Irene Rolo, the Tavira based charity for disabled people and those with special needs, and also various charitable initiatives, such as the restoration of O Golfinho, the traditional wooden fishing boat, and he has worked with animal charities. His photographic group has been ironically labelled as the photographic group for lost causes.
Paulo is a great believer in the saying that one image is worth a thousand words, and in this presentation, he will be giving his view on the world´s great photographs, and how these photos have been instrumental in changing people´s perceptions and making a difference to their lives
